EVENT: Learn to walk a tightrope
DIFFICULTY: 3 on a 1-6 scale. For details click here: DIFFICULTY RATING
DISTANCE AND TIME: 90 minute class
AGE: must be 18
ADVENTURE: Are you an adventurer always looking to experience or learn a new thing? Well grab a friend, let’s hit the park and learn how to walk a tightrope. Technically this is called slack lining which is a practice in balance that typically uses nylon webbing tensioned between two anchor points. Slacklining is distinct from tightrope walking in that the line is not held rigidly taut (although it is still under some tension); it is instead dynamic, stretching and bouncing like a long and narrow trampoline. Is it safe? Our slack line will be set only a few inches from the ground since your a beginner. Can I really learn slack lining in 90 minutes? Well some do and some do not, but you will certainly have some bragging rights at the office. Photos of the event are included. This is an outdoor event, and will be cancelled in poor weather.
COOLEST HIGHLIGHT: Photos of your time on the line.
WHAT TO BRING: You will need to be barefoot, or have very thin socks or jazz shoes. Wear loose comfortable clothes. Bring a camera and some water.
COST: $70 for you and a partner. A partner assists you on the rope so this is only sold as a package for 2.
DIRECTIONS: Will be posted when event is live.
